    Title : Non-Jordanian Investments at the ASE during June 2009
    Details : The total value of shares that were bought by Non-Jordanian investors since the beginning of the year 2009 until June was JD1530.1 million, representing 25.4% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD1462.6 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investment until June 2009 showed an increase by JD67.5 million, compared to an increase by JD185.8 million in the same period of the year 2008. Arab investors purchases during 2009 were JD1385.6 million, or 90.6% of the overall purchases by non-Jordanians, while the value of non-Arab purchases amounted to JD144.5 million, constituting 9.4%. Arab investors sales amounted to JD1327.8 million, 90.8% of non-Jordanians total sales, while the value of non-Arab sales amounted to JD134.8 million, representing 9.2% of the total sales by non-Jordanians. The total value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors during June 2009 was JD212.3 million, representing 22.1% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD206 million. Thus, the net of non-Jordanian investment during June 2009 showed an Increase by JD6.3 million. Non-Jordanian ownership in companies listed at the ASE by end of June 2009 represented 49.1% of the total market value, 34.0% for Arab investors and 15.1% for non-Arab investors. At the sector level, the non-Jordanian ownership in the financial sector was 51.3%, in the services sector was 33.2%, and in the industrial sector was 53.2%.
